The Board of Harbor Commissioners Wants to Hear from You… Seriously!
On September 26, the Board of Harbor Commissioners for the City of Long Beach is holding an event to hear from truckers like you, and your experiences with the Port of Long Beach.
Here’s the problem: We’ve gotten word that some other groups are going to show up and say the derail the conversation. We want to hear from current truckers on how to improve the Port, but they want people with no experience to decide what happens in our ports. We need truckers like you, who have real world experience, to come and give your story. Here is the all the info:
When: September 26, 2018 at 6:00pm
What: Special Harbor Commission Meeting
Where:
Port of Long Beach Interim Administrative Offices
4801 Airport Plaza Drive
Long Beach, CA 90815
What you can expect:
We are going to start with a discussion on the protection of drayage trucking issues at the Port of Long Beach led by Harbor Trucking’s own CEO, Weston LaBar, a representative from The California Trucking Association, and two Marine Terminal Operators. Then we are going to open the discussion to people in the audience. THIS IS WHEN WE NEED YOU. You will be able to tell us what you have seen, and more importantly, how they can make it better. The more genuine the better.
Again, our worry is that we have heard other organizations plan to hijack these talks for their own issues. Let’s show them that truckers take care of their own.
Can’t make it there in person? You can still make an impact.

Together, we can and continue to improve port productivity, improve trucker experience, and move our ports forward for truckers, terminals, and shippers.
